Lets get your application filed!
The Canadian Visa Office in Manila sent a letter to applicants who are classified under the list of 38 High Demand Occupations and whose applications were filed applications prior to Feb 27, 2008 cut off. These are the applicants who filed using the simplified application process.
The letter informs them that they may be eligible under the new Federal Skilled Worker program and that they are being advised to withdraw their applications within 45 days to be entitled to refund of filing fee and to refile their application under the new regulations. This is if they want an expedited process.
What is interesting in that letter is their mention of the possible changes in the list of high demand occupations.
The letter urges those whose occupations are included in the current list of high demand occupations to send a new application as soon as possible, as the list of 38 high demand occupations is subject to review and change.
If you're included in the list of high demand occupations, it is to your advantage if you get your applications filed soon! Immigration rules change and it may be happening soon. The longer you delay your decision to apply, the more you are risking your eligibility.
