Machine readable passport is now required

The Canadian Embassy Manila is now requiring applicants to submit a machine readable passport for visa stamping – these are the red colored passport currently being issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

To avoid delay in processing, it is highly recommended that applicants renew their passport prior to submission of documents to Canadian Visa Office after they receive the positive assessment from Centralized Intake Office (CIO).

Applicants are only given 45 days to submit their passport
after they received notice of visa issuance.
